Max Therry – Photo Geeky
Another year and more surprises are coming our way.
The blog has been a little quiet at the moment, what with the arrival of my wonderful niece and Christmas. However, I can assure you there is plenty to come.
Whilst I cannot spill the beans yet I will say that 2018 has potential to be far superior to 2017. With that I would like to announce Piston Photography’s FIRST GUEST BLOGGER!
Max Therry is an Architect. This has given him a unique approach to photography, one which would be difficult to not appreciate. Making contact early in the New Year, Max wasted no time in getting me on side with the idea of a guest blogger (compliments and genuinely being a nice guy will do that!). Rather than blab on, here is a copy of Max’s bio from his own website;
Hi, my name is Max Therry and I appreciate you taking some time to read about my experiences with photography. My passion for photography developed during my time in art school, where I would borrow my friends’ cameras and take photos of everything unusual around me. When this passion gained almost obsession-like traits, I bought my own Sony system and vowed to take as many photos as I could. After about a decade of filling up multiple hard drives, I feel like it’s time to share my experiences with whoever’s interested.
I don’t really specialize in any single type of photography, but my training as an architect has taught me how one thing can be perceived in many ways. This is the idea that I try to base my work around.
As Elliott Erwitt once said, “To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place.”
Well said Elliot Erwitt!
I hope you will join me in welcoming Max on-board. I for one look forward to seeing what the future holds.
