If I had the cash: Benelli Tornado
‘If I had the cash’ is a monthly feature on the blog where we look at a motorcycle I would buy if I had the means necessary. What would you buy if you had an endless supply of cash burning a hole in your wallet?
Something a little different this time on if I had the cash, a sportsbike! The Benelli Tornado is an Italian 1130cc rocket ship, sounding unlike anything else on this planet.
The Tornado is probably most famous for it’s cooling fans which are under the seat. This is due to the unique fairing and liquid cooled engine design. With 140bhp the Tornado is hardly slow, and whilst Japanese bikes have longer legs this thing loves to lean.
With an original list price of £11,700 the used price of £4,000 makes this a bargain. You would be hard pressed to find a motorcycle this exclusive at that price.
The Tornado features 50mm Marzocchi forks and an Extreme Tech rear shock making for amazing performance on smooth tracks, however on pot hole riddled British roads it can be tiring.
In summary this exotic can be snapped up for a fraction of its original price, is fast enough to make you smile and has some serious street cred. What more could you ask for?
