Brackley Festival of Motorcycling 2017
After a week of the traditional English summer a warm weekend was most welcome. The change in weather suited me not just because I was wearing shorts but because the annual Brackley Festival of Motorcycling was due to take place.
Upon arrival you are greeted with the sound of engines revving and the smell of Catrol R, possibly the greatest perfume of all. Trials and stunt shows, market stalls, bands, this event really does have something for everyone. The High Street is the main attraction, which for a single day becomes a parade ground and track for classic motorcycles.
All money raised during the event (excluding the stalls and food vans) is given to charity. The main charity is Warks and Northants Air Ambulance, in addition each year one or two local charities are also selected.
